About Us

The MacDonald Middle School Community Council is made up of adults with students in the MMS community, just like you. We want to be involved in our childrens' education and community, and we volunteer our time to try to make MMS the best school it can be.

We meet on the 4th Tuesday of each month from 6:30-7:30 PM. For the 2023-2024 we will continue in-person meetings held in the MMS Media Center while continuing to offer a virtual option. Watch email and Facebook for meeting location and links. Each meeting is attended by Principal Amy Martin, members of the MMSCC board, MMS parents, and interested community members. Please join us!

The MMSCC funds events throughout the year such as Activity Nights for the students, Book Fair, Science & Engineering Fair, Spiritwear sales, Teacher appreciation week, Teacher Luncheons, incoming 6th grade night, and 8th Grade Celebration.

The other major focus of the Community Council is to fund teacher grants. Teachers can submit grant requests to us for classroom supplies, field trip costs, and resources for school clubs or activities. We do our best to fund as many requests as possible.
